The trials continue on "Murder One," still one of the best dramas on TV.
"Friends" (8 p.m.-8: 30 p.m., WBAL, Channel 11) -- Monica (Courteney Cox) buys a new bed; Ross (David Schwimmer) has to suffer through dinner with Rachel's overbearing father (Ron Liebman); and Joey (Matt Le- Blanc) is teaching a soap opera class. What a pile of predicaments. NBC.
"Diagnosis Murder" (8 p.m.-9 p.m., WJZ, Channel 13) -- There's a bus accident, and this guy dies. Only Dr. Sloan doesn't think it was an accident; he thinks one of the passengers killed him. Good thing: All the passengers are sitting in the emergency room, which makes it easy to question suspects. Bad thing: All this detective work is threatening Steve's (Barry Van Dyke) plans to watch the big Lakers game. CBS.
"Murder One" (9 p.m.-10 p.m., WMAR, Channel 2) -- Wyler (Anthony LaPaglia) is caught off guard when a defense witness changes her story on the stand. And there's another murder case coming the firm's way, when a basketball team owner is murdered and a superstar player needs an attorney. ABC.
"Seinfeld" (9 p.m.-9: 30 p.m., WBAL, Channel 11) -- Jerry starts getting residual checks for a Japanese TV show he was in but somehow decides this is not good news. Meanwhile, Kramer is showing a group of Japanese tourists around town. Wonder how these two story threads get tied together? NBC.
"Suddenly Susan" (9: 30 p.m.-10 p.m., WBAL, Channel 11) -- Betty White guest stars as a hapless widow who gets hired as a secretary at Susan's magazine, does a really poor job, then sues for age discrimination when she gets fired. NBC.
"Medical Detectives: Legionnaire's Disease" (8 p.m.-8: 30 p.m., repeats 11 p.m.-11: 30 p.m., The Learning Channel) -- The death of 29 Legionnaires (out of 180 who took sick) after a Philadelphia convention led to one of the greatest detective stories in medical research. We still don't know much about the disease, save that it pops up somewhere in the world every few years. Not a pleasant thought.
"Marathon Man" (9 p.m.-11: 30 p.m., TNT) -- Believe me, you'll never willingly go to the dentist again after seeing this film.
