Brewers update

This game was rained out a month ago, then rained out again a week ago. The Brewers are a scrappy team that always plays hard, but Milwaukee's talent level is not as high as the Orioles'. The Brewers are not likely just to play out the string, though. Manager Phil Garner is keeping his team focused on finishing third in the AL Central and gaining a .500 record, but the Brewers must win five of their last six games to finish 81-81. Eldred, who missed the first half of the season with an injury, has pitched well his past two starts: 14 innings, nine hits, two earned runs. Closer Mike Fetters may not be available because of an asthma condition. Milwaukee is led offensively by John Jaha, who is the first Brewer to reach 100 RBIs since Robin Yount in 1989 and the sixth Brewer in history with at least 30 home runs and 100 RBIs. Dave Nilsson is sixth in the league with a .333 batting average, 55 points higher than he hit last year. Jeff Cirillo is ninth in the league with 170 hits and sixth with 54 multi-hit games.
