Joan Thompson, former assistant commissioner with the New York City Department of Transportation, has been appointed director of the Enterprise Foundation's Neighborhood Transformation Center.

Craig Knott, president of Houseworks Unlimited Inc. of Mount Airy, has earned certified remodeler status from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. Fewer than 30 Maryland contractors have earned the title.

Dr. Ho-Lai Feng, a board-certified internist, has joined Patuxent Medical Group P.A. and will be on the staff of the Columbia Medical Plan's internal medicine department.
