2 teens charged in car theft in Harper's Choice

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Two 17-year-old Columbia boys were arrested and charged Saturday in connection with a car stolen from Harper's Choice village Thursday night, police said.

Both boys were charged with auto theft, theft, destruction of property and unauthorized use of a vehicle, said Sgt. Steven Keller of the Howard County Police Department. They were detained by Howard County juvenile services and taken to Boys Village in Cheltenham.

The youths were arrested after police received a call about suspicious people possibly vandalizing cars in the 9000 block of Watchlight Court in Long Reach village, Keller said.

A witness told police the boys were seen in the green 1993 Subaru Legacy stolen from Harper's Choice village. Two other people fled the scene when police arrived, Keller said.
