Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Northern District

Burglary: Curtains, a blow dryer, hair curlers, a caller ID device and a humidifier were stolen Monday from a house in the 2400 block of Loyola Northway.

Cutting: A 29-year-old woman was arguing with a woman in an alley behind the 2000 block of Barclay St. on Monday when she was cut on the right cheek with a knife. The victim refused medical treatment. No arrest had been made.

Burglary: A fax machine and nearly 180 pairs of sunglasses, all valued at nearly $1,900, were stolen between Saturday and Monday from Townsend Communications in the 3600 block of Clipper Mill Road. Entry was gained by knocking a hole in a wall.

Southwestern District

Assault: During a dispute with a customer over money, an attendant at the Crown service station in the 3700 block of Wilkens Ave. was assaulted. The attendant was not seriously injured.

Central District

Bank robbery: A man entered Harbor Bank of Maryland in the first block of W. Fayette St. about 10: 25 a.m. yesterday, jumped over the counter and ordered a teller to give him money. After a teller placed cash in a bag and gave it to him, he fled.

Shooting: A 20-year-old woman was sitting on the front steps of her home in the 1400 block of Druid Hill Ave. about 2 a.m. yesterday when two men on an orange-colored motorbike stopped to talk to a man standing nearby. Seconds later, one of the men on the motorbike fired a handgun, missing the man. But bullet fragments struck the woman in the arm. The men on the bike escaped. The victim was treated for a minor wound at Maryland General Hospital and released.

Northwestern District

Robbery/arrest: A 16-year-old boy was riding his 16-inch bike in the 3700 block of Forest Park Ave. on Monday when two other youths knocked him to the ground and stole the bike. Later, police arrested a 15-year-old suspect.

Burglary: A cordless telephone valued at $30 was stolen Monday from a house in the 4300 block of Maine Ave.

Burglary: Property valued at more than $150 was stolen Monday from a garage in the 5700 block of Narcissus Ave.

North Point Precinct

Theft: A 20-inch multispeed bike valued at $300 was stolen Monday in the 2200 block of Lodge Farm Road.

Burglary: A lawn tractor valued at nearly $1,000 was stolen Monday from a garage in the 1900 block of Sunberry Road.

Burglary: A 16-inch, 21-speed bike valued at nearly $500 was stolen Monday from a garage in the 2800 block of Dunlawn Court.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: A compact disc player and a pellet rifle, all valued at $400, were stolen Monday from a house in the 3000 block of California Ave.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Computer equipment of unknown value was stolen between Saturday and Monday from Infinity Mortgage Service in the 100 block of West Road.

Burglary: Cash and credit cards were stolen Monday from a house in the 8000 block of Hillendale Road. A ladder belonging to a neighbor was used to gain access to a second-floor window.

Garrison Precinct

Robbery: A woman was about to leave an automated teller machine in the 11000 block of Reisterstown Road on Monday when three men, one with a handgun, robbed her of more than $100.

Wilkens Precinct

Stabbing/arrest: Police arrested a man after he allegedly stabbed a woman in the back during an incident at a social hall in the 100 block of Winters Lane on Sunday. The woman, a 50-year-old resident of Paskin Place at Hillcrest Apartments, was in stable condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Clarence Figgs, 76, of the first block of Woodthorne Court in Owings Mills was charged with attempted murder and was being held in lieu of $75,000 bail at the county Detention Center.
