Three teen-age boys were arrested Saturday evening on charges of possessing $2,300 worth of marijuana and trespassing on the grounds of Severna Park Middle School in the 400 block of Jumpers Hole Road, Anne Arundel County police said.
Officers responded to a complaint of juveniles on the school's roof about 8 p.m. They found the boys, who police said had more than $1,000 cash and 230 grams of marijuana.
The boys are ages 14, 15 and 16.
College promotes Houchen to assistant dean
Barbara B. Houchen has been promoted to assistant dean for planning and budget and director of institutional research at Anne Arundel Community College.
Houchen, director of planning and research for the college for three years, will be responsible for preparing the annual budget, directing and coordinating the strategic plan, and designing administration research projects.
Houchen graduated from the University of Maryland University College with a bachelor's degree in technology and management. She earned her master's degree in business administration in finance and public policy and a doctorate in strategy with minors in statistics and public policy at the University of Maryland.
