ENJOY THE sweet taste of peaches at two local peach festivals this month.
The Lutheran Women's Missionary League of Galilee Lutheran Church is having its annual festival from noon to 4 p.m. tomorrow at the church, 4652 Mountain Road.
Peaches with ice cream and a peach dessert table will be featured.
Visitors can also purchase pit-beef sandwiches for $4 or a platter that includes salad and a drink for $5. A children's meal of a hot dog, chips and a drink is available for $1.50.
Cotton candy, face painting and crafts will round out the event.
All proceeds will be matched by the Aid Association for Lutherans Branch 10144 and donated to the North County Emergency Outreach Network in Glen Burnie.

Solley United Methodist Church on Solley Road, home of midweek festivals, will have its annual gathering from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 21.
Church volunteers will be serving fresh peaches over ice cream and cake with a beverage. The cost is $3.50 for adults and carryouts or $2 for children under age 12.
Other dinner items for sale will be homemade crab soup, barbecue and hot dogs.
Proceeds will benefit church projects.
Church flea market
Looking for bargains? Don't forget the Magothy United Methodist Church flea market, open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow.
Food and beverages also will be sold. Proceeds will benefit church missions. The church is at 3703 Mountain Road.
Pasadena Sportfishing Group will meet at 7: 30 p.m. Monday at the Orchard Beach fire hall on Solley Road.
Billy Pipkin, captain of Liquid Assets out of the Smith Point, Va., area will discuss chumming for rock and blues.
