King Kong and Godzilla, together in one movie? Man, talk about star power. Check out Sci-Fi tonight.
"Almost Perfect" (8: 30 p.m.-9 p.m., WJZ, Channel 13) -- Kim (Nancy Travis) leaves Gary (Chip Zien) in charge of the set with explosive results that come at just the wrong time. A repeat of one of the series' funniest episodes. CBS.
"MacGyver: Lost Treasure of Atlantis" (9 p.m.-11 p.m., WMAR, Channel 2) -- MacGyver makes like Indiana Jones in a quest for lost booty from the lost city. ABC.
"Awake to Danger" (9 p.m.-11 p.m., WBAL, Channel 11) -- Tori Spelling, her memory left behind somewhere, is stalked by the man who murdered her mother. She survives, paving the way for many Tori Spelling movies sure to follow. Pity. NBC.
"Murphy Brown" (9 p.m.-9: 30 p.m., WJZ, Channel 13) -- Murphy dreams that her failure to commit to a relationship comes back to haunt her. A host of old boyfriends show up, including Scott Bakula and Jay Thomas. CBS.
LTC "Chicago Hope" (10 p.m.-11 p.m., WJZ, Channel 13) -- In an episode from February, Kathy Najimy ends her hospital stay by marking up the walls, Austin (Christine Lahti) campaigns to be named head of the ER, and Shutt (Adam Arkin) is busy performing psychosurgery. CBS.
"National Geographic's Heart of Africa" (8 p.m.-9 p.m., MPT, Channels 22 and 67) -- This first part of a three-hour look at Africa's heartland, the Great Rift Valley, highlights life in Zaire's Virunga National Park. PBS.
"So I Married an Axe Murderer" (8 p.m.-10 p.m., WBFF, Channel 45) -- Mike Myers is a newlywed whose wife (Nancy Travis) seems to have adopted Lizzie Borden as a role model. Fox.
"King Kong vs. Godzilla" (9 p.m.-11 p.m., repeats 1 a.m.-3 a.m., Sci-Fi) -- A horrible movie, sure, but it was a heckuva lot of fun when I saw it as a 10-year-old. The best part (if my quarter-century-old memories haven't failed me) is when the robot Kong shows up. Wow.
"Tutankhamen: Search for the Lost Pharaoh" (10 p.m.-11 p.m., repeats 2 a.m.-3 a.m., Discovery) -- Take a trip back to 1922 and relive the archaeological find of the 20th century, as Howard Carter and his band of explorers uncover the tomb of the boy king, one of the few Egyptian burial chambers to escape looters over the centuries.
