Peterson and Rhodes win promotions

Weinberg Harris & Associates promoted Rachel L. Rhodes and Julie A. Peterson to account executives. Both were previously assistant account executives with the Baltimore-based public relations and marketing firm.

Ms. Peterson joined the company in 1994 after working as a television news reporter at WHSV-TV, the ABC affiliate in Harrisonburg, Va., and serving as an assistant producer for Maryland Public Television's Motor Week. A graduate of Towson State University, she lives in Roland Park.

Ms. Rhodes served as a public relations assistant with Prime Retail and was director of special projects for the Maryland Student Service Alliance before coming to Weinberg Harris in 1995. A Timonium resident, Ms. Rhodes is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University.

Kristen Orakwue joins Big Shot Productions

Kristen P. Orakwue has joined Big Shot Productions as a production coordinator. Ms. Orakwue previously worked at WCVB-TV 5 in Boston and Above The Rim in New York.


Fleckenstein is named account executive

Eisner, Petrou & Associates promoted Jean Fleckenstein to account executive. She came to the firm from All-steel Europe in London, where she worked in sales and marketing. Ms. Fleckenstein also has worked for the Bowie Baysox and the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, from which she graduated summa cum laude. Grabush, Newman & Co. P.A., hired Jean E. Dunn as a tax manager for the Baltimore-based company. A native Baltimorean, Ms. Dunn has worked as a tax professional on the Eastern Shore for the past 17 years.

David Guy Norton joins Reznick Fedder Silverman

Reznick Fedder & Silverman, certified public accountants and business consultants, appointed David Guy Norton a manager in the tax department of its Baltimore office. Mr. Norton was previously a vice president with Alex. Brown and Sons Inc. He also has served as a tax manager for Deloitte Touche in Washington. E. Barry Rice, an assistant accounting professor at Loyola College, has been named 1996 Outstanding Maryland Accounting Educator by the Maryland Association of CPAs Inc.

Director of the Pacioli International Center for International Centre for Accounting at Loyola, Professor Rice is the first faculty member to require writing assignments be submitted electronically.

He has a B.S. degree in accounting from Virginia Tech University and a M.B.A. degree from the University of Maryland at College Park. Professor Rice worked as an accountant and taught at the University of Maryland before coming to Loyola in 1975.

Michael Patz joins KLNB as retail associate

KLNB appointed Michael Patz a retail associate in the Baltimore metropolitan area for the full service commercial real estate firm. Prior to joining KLNB, Mr. Patz worked for CB Commercial Real Estate Group as sales associate. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Pittsburg.
