Astros: Jeff Bagwell has hit a home run off each of Houston's opponents this season.

Braves: Former President Carter, sitting in a front row box seat near the Padres dugout, caught a foul ball in the sixth inning off the bat of Ken Caminiti. The crowd greeted Carter's catch with a standing ovation.

Expos: Attendance was 13,256, the first time in four games Montreal drew more than 10,000 fans.

Giants: The last time San Francisco gave up six homers in one game was in August 1993 against Atlanta. . . . The Giants have nine errors in the past five games.

Marlins: Center fielder Devon White, hitting .214, won't play the field for five to seven days after re-injuring his right hamstring. White pinch hit against the Dodgers and struck out. . . . Kurt Abbott became the last everyday player in the majors to drive in a run this year.

Phillies: Right-hander Curt Schilling, who had surgery on his right shoulder last Aug. 23, threw in the bullpen for 20 minutes without any problems. On Tuesday, he will begin a rehabilitation assignment with Single-A Clearwater.
