Malkovich film is series' last

The Cinema Sunday Series at the Charles ends tomorrow with an intriguing film starring the provocative cast of John Malkovich and Catherine Deneuve as a couple out to prove a shocking theory of Shakespeare's identity. The Portuguese film was directed by Manoel de Oliveira.

Introducing the film and leading a discussion afterward will be Rob Tregenza, a writer-director who made "Talking to Strangers" and "The Arc."

The Charles, at 1711 N. Charles St., is bound by an agreement not to release the name of the films shown in these special previews.

A single ticket to the 10:30 a.m. screening, which is the last in a series of six, is $15; $24 enters one in the program, which includes free screening tickets, free passes to the Charles and discounts at restaurants and video clubs.
