Council plans programs for winter, spring


Sandymount Recreation Council is offering programs from late winter to spring.

Call the numbers listed for class times, dates, locations and other details.

* Tumbling, ages 3 to 7: The cost is $25 for 10 weeks. Registration is continuous. Information: 857-5071.

* The Art of Rubber-stamping: for adults, a five-week class Thursday to March 21. The cost is $52. Information: 857-5071.

* Hupkwondo Martial Arts: Ten-week sessions for children and adults are offered twice a week. Information: 526-2464.

* Fencing for boys ages 10 to 15: Ten-week sessions are $45; registration is continuous. Information: 516-7481.


Westminster: A resident of South Court Street reported Thursday that someone broke into her home and stole $700 worth of jewelry.


Sandymount: Reese and Westminster units responded to a trailer fire in the 2200 block of Old Westminster Pike at 11:25 p.m. Thursday. They were out 29 minutes.

Westminster: Westminster and Reese units responded to a report of an outside gas leak on West Main Street at 4:34 a.m. Friday. Units were out about 30 minutes.
