Cross' 26 lead Terps women over Wake, 60-49


WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Stephanie Cross had 26 points and nine rebounds to lead Maryland over Wake Forest, 60-49, in an Atlantic Coast Conference women's game last night. Cross converted 13 of 24 shots, including seven of 10 in the second half.

Maryland (11-12, 5-8 ACC) has won three of its past four games, two of those against Top 25 teams.

The Terps scored the final four points of the first half and the first seven of the second half to go ahead 34-23 with 18:40 to play. From there, the closest the Demon Deacons (11-11, 4-8) came was 40-33 at the 10:07 mark.
