Police arrested a Glen Burnie man and two friends Sunday and charged them with stealing more than $4,000 worth of jewelry, cash and other items from the house next door, county police said
Robert Davis, 57, of the 400 block of Crain Highway, Frank Ross Smith, 42, of the 1800 block of Hawk Court in Severn, and John Anthony Gaither Jr., 34, of the 2100 block of Presbury St. in Baltimore, were charged with first-degree burglary, destruction and theft.
Gordon Tyler III, 25, of the 400 block of Crain Highway, called police shortly after 12:30 a.m. Sunday and told them someone had broken into his house and taken jewelry, two televisions, a shotgun and coins, police said.
Investigating officers became suspicious and went next door to talk to the neighbor.
The officers noticed that one of the men was wearing jewelry matching the description of that taken from the house and said they found Mr. Tyler's belongings inside.
Man, 30, is charged with breaking into home
Police arrested a man Friday and charged him with breaking into a Glen Burnie home while the owner was inside, county police said.
Edward R. Beal, 30, of no fixed address, was charged with first-degree burglary and malicious destruction.
Stacy Giddings of the 6400 block of Heritage Hill called police shortly before 9:30 p.m. after she heard a noise in her family room, police said.
Police found the rear screen door ripped and a sliding glass door open. The sliding glass door and the walls in the family room fTC were smeared with blood.
A neighbor called police and told them there was a man hiding in the bushes in the 6400 block of Jefferson Place. An officer found the man, who had a cut on his hand, and held him until a dog that was tracking the scent of the burglary suspect led other police to the bush, police said.
Man assaulted, robbed of money by two men
A Glen Burnie man was assaulted by two men and robbed of an undisclosed amount of money Sunday, county police said.
Steve Brian Brant, 25, of the 800 block of Amelia Ave., was not injured.
Mr. Brant told police he and two friends were walking along the 7900 block of Nolpark Court shortly after 3 a.m. when they were approached by two men.
One of the men grabbed Mr. Brant from behind, struggled with him and took money from his pocket, police said. The two culprits then ran toward Crainmont Drive, police said.
Police arrest two men on burglary, theft charges
Police arrested two men on burglary and theft charges Sunday after they were accused of forcing their way into a Glen Burnie apartment and stealing an electric razor.
Kevin Arnold Brabham, 27, of no fixed address, and Shawn Trennel Cribbs, 21, of the 8100 block of Meade Village Road in Severn, were charged with first-degree burglary and theft.
Jason A. Metzger, 20, told police three men pushed their way into his apartment in the 600 block of Hallmark Drive about 7 p.m., saying they were looking for one of Mr. Metzger's acquaintances who owed them drug money.
When they did not find the man, they said they would come back, police said. Mr. Metzger then noticed his electric razor was gone, police said.
Shortly after 11:30 p.m., two of the men returned. Mr. Metzger called police, who stopped a maroon Mustang on Hallmark Drive,
Mr. Metzger identified the men as the ones who forced their way into the apartment, and police arrested them.
