A gathering of Celts

Explore the rich history and heritage of the Celtic lands this weekend at the Fourth Annual Mid-Winter Greater Philadelphia Scottish & Irish Music Festival and Fair at the Valley Forge Convention Center in King of Prussia, Pa. The entertainment begins both days with the skirl of the bagpipes and continues with Scottish and Irish singers and dancers throughout the day. Also featured will be plenty of food, craft exhibitors, vendors, fraternal organizations, displays of classic British cars and re-enactments of Scottish military encampments. Festival-goers can take part in single-malt whisky tastings, Celtic art shows, brass rubbings, sand art, attend folklore seminars and search their family roots at the heraldic exhibits. They can also shop for claddagh jewelry, clan crests, tartan scarves and kilts.
