Outlook: Georgia Tech (6-2 in the ACC) won the first meeting in Atlanta, 98-84, when it went 9-for-15 from the arc, hit 27 of 28 free throws and had three players with more than 20 points. The Yellow Jackets' Matt Harpring and Stephon Marbury had 23 points each; Mario Lucas led Maryland with 21 points and 10 rebounds. The Yellow Jackets lost their share of first in the ACC with a 73-70 loss at Clemson on Tuesday. The Terps (3-4 ACC) moved into fifth place with their first road win Thursday at Virginia, 80-72, behind Keith Booth's 27 points and 16 rebounds. 500 tickets are available.

Outlook: Coppin State was lucky enough to slip past Morgan State by one point last Saturday night. But in the Eagles' next game, Howard's John Gay hit a baseline jumper with one second left as the Bison upset Coppin, 63-62, ending its streak of regular-season victories against MEAC opponents at 22. Junior C Terquin Mott (20.6 ppg., 5.9 rpg.) got into foul trouble and was limited to 13 points. Junior Reggie Welch (17.9 ppg, 7.1 rpg.) led Coppin with 19 points. The Eagles are 7-1 in the MEAC. Morgan State was felled by Coppin on a last-second shot, then played flat in a 75-66 loss to Delaware State on Wednesday night, leaving the Bears 3-4 in the MEAC. Freshmen Rasheed Sparks (8.1 ppg) has 33 points in the past two games. Coppin leads the series, 28-9, and has won 14 of the past 15.
Mount St. Mary's (11-6) at Long Island (6-11)

Outlook: The Mountaineers have won five in a row, including Monday night's 73-70 victory over Wagner. Junior G Silas Cheung had 22 points off the bench. His three-point shot with 6.9 seconds left finished off Wagner. Senior G Chris McGuthrie (21.9 ppg) had 19 points for the Mount (7-2 in the NEC). Long Island trails the series, 9-8, after losing to the Mountaineers on Jan. 6, 92-74. In that game, the Mount's Riley Inge had 15 points, eight assists and six rebounds.

Outlook: The Midshipmen are tied with the Bison for first place in the Patriot League at 5-1. Navy is coming off a 69-63 victory at Lehigh in which point G Brian Walker set a team record with seven steals. The Bison has won six straight and eight of its past nine. Senior Brian Anderson leads the team in scoring (14.6) and rebounding (6.3).
