Association honors local man as Maryland Chiropractor of Year

The Maryland Chiropractic Association has named Dr. Scott Lawrence, who practices in Elkridge, as its 1995 Chiropractor of the Year.

The award was given to Dr. Lawrence at the association's convention last month.

"He's been very active in promoting the profession and the association, and he's a good chiropractor, too," said Tom Shaner, the association's executive director.

Dr. Lawrence and his wife, Dr. Paula McCullogh, own and operate National Chiropractic Health & Sports Rehabilitation in Elkridge. They live in Ellicott City.

He is a member of the association's board of directors, chairman of its legislative committee and vice chairman of its insurance committee. He also is a member of the Maryland State Board of Chiropractic Examiners' Committee on Chiropractic Standards of Care.

Dr. Lawrence recently formed a statewide network of chiropractors to help plan how chiropractors will fit into the future of health care.
