Comcast Cable names advertising sales manager
Comcast Cable Communications appointed Wesley D. Sapp to the position of local advertising sales manager, responsible for Baltimore and Harford counties. With the cable TV operator for four years, the Bel Air resident's previous assignment was as advertising sales manager for Comcast's Pittsburgh operation. Baltimore International Culinary College announced that Kari Beims joined the staff as director of communications. She will oversee public affairs, advertising, promotion and market analysis for the renowned culinary arts and hospitality training facility.
Security Systems selects senior investigator
Baltimore Security Systems, specializing in full service and covert security for corporations and small businesses, selected Phillip Michaels as senior investigator. Prior to joining the Baltimore-based firm, the 22-year police veteran was with the corruption unit of the Washington Metropolitan Police internal affairs division.
Columbia furniture dealer names Baxter administrator
Interior Elements, the Columbia-based contract furniture dealer, named William F. Baxter as government sales contract administrator. A University of Maryland graduate with a degree in business administration and marketing, he has experience in development of marketing programs for all levels of government and the negotiation of contracts.
Delta graphics names advertising director
Delta Graphics & Communications announced that Frank Aud, a 20-year veteran of advertising and marketing sales and management, joined the Timonium-based agency as advertising director. Formerly major accounts manager for the Maryland Pennysaver Group, the Towson resident holds a degree in mass communications from Towson State University and a master's degree in marketing from Johns Hopkins University. Freed & Associates, a Baltimore-based advertising and marketing agency, selected Rhonda Dilutis as media coordinator. A member of the Advertising Association of Baltimore and American Marketing Association, Ms. Dilutis formerly worked at Eisner & Associates in media buying and planning.
Provident names Martin to business banking post
Provident Bank of Maryland announced that Nancy Martin joined the locally owned bank as vice president of business banking. She came to Provident from the Bank of Maryland, where she held the position of vice president of the bank's small business lending group. A resident of Hunt Valley, she holds a degree in finance and management from the University of Richmond. Dean Witter Reynolds named Karl L. Porter an investments account executive. Formerly with Long & Foster in home and investment property sales, the Westminster resident will be assigned to the Baltimore office.
Morin, Lucas named project architects
Murphy & Dittenhafer Architects announced the appointments of David Gudmund Morin and Michael Lucas as project architects. Mr. Morin, a registered architect for eight years, will oversee renovation and expansion projects in Catonsville and Wheeling, W. Va. Mr. Lucas, a 16-year member of the American Institute of Architects, will be responsible for construction projects at the Essex Community College and in Hagerstown.
Metro Ambulance Service names Westcamp a director
Metro Ambulance Service, based in Brooklyn Park, appointed Marsha Anne Westcamp, a critical care paramedic, director of corporate development. The Bowie resident will oversee the development, planning and marketing of basic, advanced and critical care transport programs. In addition Ms. Westcamp will initiate contract proposals and negotiations for medical transportation with area health care facilities. MacKenzie/O'Conor, Piper & Flynn named Camille Wyatt a project manager.
