Nothing small about TV today, as movies, marathons and Macy's dominate. Whether that's something you'll want to give thanks for at dinner is between you and your conscience.
* "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" (9 a.m.-noon, WBAL, Channel 11) -- Pilgrims? Never heard of 'em. But big balloons -- now THAT'S Thanksgiving, friend! And top the whole thing off with Santa Claus? That's worth celebrating. No, Al Roker is not one of the balloons, but he will help emcee the proceedings, along with Katie Couric and Willard Scott. NBC.
* "Home Alone" (8 p.m.-10 p.m., WBAL, Channel 11) -- Somehow, this paean to the virtues of slapstick earned a kazillion dollars. HTC Sure it's funny, but Bugs Bunny does it better. The movie also made a star of Macaulay Culkin, which is neither understandable nor forgivable. NBC.
* "The Beatles Anthology, Part 3" (9 p.m.-11 p.m., Channel 2) -- No new songs tonight, just more of the Fab Four, as they discover harmony through meditation, disharmony among themselves and life after the Beatles. While the anthology has been interesting, don't you find yourself thinking PBS could have done it better? ABC.
Cable
* "Remington Steele" marathon (8 a.m.-8 p.m., A&E;) -- James Bond play second fiddle to a woman! Yes, it's true -- before he signed on as 007, Pierce Brosnan spent five seasons as Stephanie Zimbalist's right-hand man. Personally, I've always thought this series was better, and certainly more consistent, than the more-ballyhooed "Moonlighting." Let's hope they include the episode about the Abbott of Costello.
* "Lost in Space" marathon (9 a.m.-7 p.m., Sci-Fi) -- Ten hours of Dr. Smith may be a bit much, but the Robot is still the epitome of sci-fi cool. A note for trivia buffs: Penny Robinson is played by Angela Cartwright, who earlier had found fame as Danny Thomas' daughter on "The Danny Thomas Show" and later was one of the von Trapp kids in "The Sound of Music." Talk about star power.
* "Grease" and "Grease 2" (1:05 p.m.-6 p.m., TNT) -- Cal Ripken's fondness for it notwithstanding, "Grease" has got to be one of the most irritating musicals ever written. "Grease 2" is even worse, although it did introduce Michelle Pfeiffer to the world.
