Beth Steel chooses district sales manager
Bethlehem Steel has announced the selection of Buster Yonychas sales manager for its Baltimore-Greensboro district. A Bel Air resident, the University of Maryland graduate joined the steel company in 1973. He was initially assigned to the Chicago district and later transferred to the corporate headquarters. In 1993, he was assigned to Sparrows Point as a product marketing manager. He is a member of the board of directors of the Harford YMCA swim team. Hyatt Regency Hotels appointed W. Derrick Morrow 6pMorrowdirector of sales and marketing for its Baltimore operation.
Before receiving the Baltimore assignment, the Howard University graduate was sales director at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda. The Public Justice Center named Karen E. Webber executive director. A law graduate of the University of Texas, she comes to Baltimore from New York City, where she was the assistant commissioner for equal opportunity affairs at the Department of Homeless Services and had also worked for the mayor of New York in the office of operations and the office of management and budget. FTI Corp., announced that George D. Scheeler has joined the Annapolis-based international litigation consulting firm as chief financial officer.
A Towson resident, he holds an MBA from the College of William and Mary. Before coming to FTI, he had been assistant vice president of finance and credit for Citibank.

Parks, Subotnik & Parks selects Jonathan Parks
Parks, Subotnik & Parks named Jonathan D. Parks as vice president, account services, for the Baltimore ad agency.
Mr. Parks holds degrees from the Eagleton Institute of Politics, Rutgers University and Franklin and Marshall College.
MMA advertising names Moore vice president
MMA Public Relations and Advertising, headquartered in Baltimore, has appointed Jeanne Moore as vice president.
A member of the firm since 1993, Ms. Moore was a senior account executive and is currently enrolled in the MBA program at Loyola College.
Katcef Associates hires Connie Seim as media buyer
Katcef Associates has chosen Connie Joslyn Seim as a media buyer. A mass communications graduate of Towson State, she will develop print and broadcast proposals and negotiate space purchases.
She joins the Annapolis-based advertising and public relations firm from Hottman Edwards Advertising of Baltimore.

McCrone engineering names Beach president
McCrone Inc., an engineering and environmental consulting subsidiary of Annapolis-based The Design Team, announced that Gary C. Beach has been chosen president. Kenneth M. Stewart was named first vice president and Rocco A. Tripodi and Michael C. Whitehill, vice presidents. Selected as secretary-treasurer was David E. Moul. Rietschle Inc. has appointed James A. Waller vice presi- dent of operations and engineering, and Edward L. Gore vice president, customer service for the Hanover-based vacuum and pressure pump manufacturing and systems engineering company whose products are used in a diverse variety of industries, including chemicals, printing and medical/biotechnology. Marshall Craft Associates, Baltimore-based architectural planning and interior design firm, announced that Paul J. Watson joined the firm and will assist in business development, project and firm management.
Before coming to Baltimore, he was managing principal of Watson Architecture of Austin, Texas. Mr. Watson has a degree in architecture from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

St. Joseph Medical Center hires Shelley, Cunningham
St. Joseph Medical Center appointed two departmental directors; Staci Rhodes Shelley, legal affairs, and Kathy Cunningham, volunteer services. Ms. Shelley was legal counsel for Liberty Medical Center. Ms. Cunningham comes to the Towson health facility from Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, where she established the Army's first volunteer services department.
Wheeler named manager at May Medical Services
May Medical Services announced that Brian Wheeler was named as western district manager for the Woodlawn-based basic life support medical transport company. Mr. Wheeler is a student of emergency health services management at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
