Man is injured when car slides off snowy road

Yesterday's snowy, slushy conditions contributed to a one-car accident on Route 97 about 1:30 a.m., police said.

Karl Edward Bennett, 26, of Taneytown was traveling north on Route 97 near Airport Drive in Westminster when he lost control of his 1991 Ford Tempo.

The car slid off the snow-covered road and hit a telephone pole.
