Yesterday's snowy, slushy conditions contributed to a one-car accident on Route 97 about 1:30 a.m., police said.
Karl Edward Bennett, 26, of Taneytown was traveling north on Route 97 near Airport Drive in Westminster when he lost control of his 1991 Ford Tempo.
The car slid off the snow-covered road and hit a telephone pole.
Mr. Bennett was taken to Carroll County General Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Native Americans subject of program at library
Westminster branch library, 50 E. Main St. will offer these programs for children:
"Native American Tales," will be offered for children in kindergarten to third grade at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Nov. 28. Registration is required.
"Jingle Bell Fun" for ages 2 to 6 (children under 3 must be accompanied by an adult) will be offered at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Dec. 5. The program also will be given at 9:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. Dec. 6 and at 7 p.m. Dec. 7.
Registration is required.
Westminster: A resident of Pennsylvania Avenue in Westminster reported Monday that someone stole a snow plow and attachments, valued at $300, from his yard.
