Assault: A 44-year-old man being held on burglary and other charges at the city's Central Booking and Intake Center in the 300 block of E. Madison St., was in critical condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital after he was assaulted by several men at the center Tuesday. A spokeswoman for the center said the man was found on the floor of the Central Tower bleeding from head and facial injuries. The incident remains under investigation and no arrest had been made, spokeswoman Barbara Cooper said.
Carjacking: A motorist was in the 2200 block of Linden Ave. on Wednesday when a man armed with a knife forced him from his four-door silver-colored 1995 Hyundai and robbed him of a pager, a gold necklace and a gold ring, all valued at more than $1,000. The assailant drove off in the car with tags CNH 171.
Burglary: A videocassette recorder and a TV, all valued at more than $400, were stolen yesterday from a house in the 200 block of E. Eager St.
Shooting: A 32-year-old resident of the 2800 block of W. North Ave. was in serious condition yesterday at St. Agnes Hospital after he was shot in the right shoulder early yesterday by another man in an alley behind the 4000 block of Massachusetts Ave.
Robbery: Three men, one with a handgun, robbed the York Club in the 5400 block of York Road of more than $200 Wednesday night.
Burglary: A TV, VCR and an electronic game, all valued at $300, were stolen Wednesday from a garage in the 300 block of Rossiter Ave.
Theft: Police were seeking a warrant charging an employee of the Gilman School in the 5400 block of Roland Ave. with stealing $2,000 worth of computer equipment between Aug. 12 and Aug. Police said the theft was recorded on a surveillance camera.
Shooting: A 25-year-old man was walking in the 1000 block of W. 41st St. on Wednesday when he heard a gunshot and felt a pain in his left forearm. The victim was treated at Union Memorial Hospital and released. Police said the shooting was the result of an argument earlier between the victim and three men seen driving near the scene of the shooting.
Robbery: A 38-year-old woman was driving her 1995 Lincoln in the 2500 block of Harford Road on Tuesday night when three men stopped her and demanded money. When the woman refused, they robbed her of $19 and a pager valued at $69, and broke the windshield and a headlight lens with pieces of wood. The woman reported the incident Wednesday.
Theft/arrest: Police arrested a man who entered Kitty's Lounge in the 3200 block of Greenmount Ave. on Wednesday and stole two bottles of liquor valued at $30. Several witnesses chased the man and held him for police.
Robbery: A resident of the 3400 block of Callaway Ave. was leaving a liquor store in the 3300 block of Garrison Blvd. on Wednesday when a gunman robbed him of a necklace. After walking away for a short distance, the gunman returned and robbed the victim of his 1987 Nissan with tags BVP 529.
Burglary: Cash, jewelry and a TV cable box were stolen Wednesday from the bedroom of a house in the 3800 block of W. Cold Spring Lane.
Robbery: A resident of Hillendale Road was standing at Loch Raven Boulevard and Putty Hill Avenue Wednesday when two men, one with a knife, robbed him of cash and property, all valued at nearly $400.
Burglary: At least $20,000 worth of computer equipment was stolen from two offices in the 100 block of West Road on Wednesday.
Robbery: A resident of Park Drive in Halethorpe was at Baltimore Street and Georgia Avenue in Baltimore Highlands yesterday when a man placed an unknown weapon into his back and robbed him of $17.
Burglary: Computer equipment valued at $5,000 was stolen yesterday from the Delrey School in the first block of Delrey Ave.
Burglary: A resident of the 5700 block of Mineral Ave. returned home yesterday and saw a man running from the driveway. The resident entered the house and found his TV and VCR on the floor next to a door. The man escaped in a car driven by a second man.
