On the field: Atlanta hit the ball hard in Game 4, getting five extra-base hits -- two doubles from Javy Lopez, a double apiece from Luis Polonia and Fred McGriff, and a bases-empty homer from Ryan Klesko.
In the dugout: Mark Wohlers pitched 2 2/3 innings in the Braves' 11-inning loss in Game 3, and even manager Bobby Cox admitted before Game 4 that he wasn't entirely sure if Wohlers would be able to pitch. But strangely, Wohlers started the ninth with the Braves leading 5-1 and gave up a homer and a double before being replaced by left-hander Pedro Borbon Jr., who got the last three outs to pick up the save.
In the clubhouse: "You can't take anything for granted. This isn't over until we get the fourth win. But I like our position now, up 3-1 with Mad Dog pitching." -- Atlanta first baseman Fred McGriff, about the prospects of Greg Maddux pitching Game 5 tonight.
