Data Chromatics appoints Kohler software engineer

Data Chromatics Inc. announced that Suzanne R. Kohler was appointed senior software engineer.

The Auburn University graduate is a specialist in graphic user interfaces and will have responsibility for major programming efforts at the Columbia-based geographic information systems company. Durrett-Sheppard Steel Co. announced that John Mimm has been named outside sales manager. Mr. Mimm has worked for the firm since 1974.

His most recent assignment was as a sales representative in the Washington, Virginia and Southern Maryland area.

He and his wife, Helga, live in Columbia and have two children.

CTA Space Systems selects business development chief

CTA Space Systems, a division of CTA Inc., headquartered in Rockville, selected Christopher Roberts director of business development.

An attorney with experience in engineering, strategic planning and financial management, he formerly held the position of manager of corporate operations at the space systems division.

Loyola names Dillon to communications post

Loyola College in Maryland appointed Kevin R. Dillon assistant director of campus communications with responsibility for internal information programs.

A Baltimore resident and Loyola graduate, he was formerly an art director with The Printing Post in Timonium.

Lewis appointed chef at Point bistro

The Admiral Fell Inn named Tyrone Lewis as chef of its Point bistro.

The chef previously worked at Piccolo's, Sisson's and Gampy's. He lives in Fells Point.

Catterton Printing names Gill as account executive

Catterton Printing, of Waldorf, announced that Bob Gill has joined the firm as an account executive.

He was former sales manager for Beach Brothers Printing and served as president of the Production Club of Washington.


Shandwick/Adams Sandler selects Gaag as executive

Shandwick/Adams Sandler has appointed Amy Tyler Gaag senior account executive.

Formerly with Dan Pinger Public Relations, of Cincinnati, she will provide marketing and communications consulting and special events planning for clients in the banking, health care and senior services industries.

Nevins & Associates hires Goodell as account executive

Nevins & Associates of Owings Mills has added Susan Goodell to its staff as an assistant account executive.

Among her new assignments will be public relations management, events planning and media relations.

A graduate of the College of William & Mary, she was director of special events for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Callahan & Co., a Baltimore-based design advertising agency, announced that Gene Valle has joined the firm as a senior graphics designer.

A graphic design/visual communications graduate of the Maryland Institute, College of Art, he was formerly a graphic designer for GKV Design.

Hartt & Co. appoints Alperstein, Lipschultz

Hartt & Co., announced that Sari Alperstein, a public relations account executive, and Jana Lipschultz, a receptionist and traffic manager, have joined the advertising and public relations group in Hampden.

Ms. Alperstein, a George Washington University graduate, was formerly with Kratz & Co. of New York. Ms. Lipschultz, a recent Ohio University graduate, interned at WXTQ-FM in Towson and WHFS-FM in Landover.


Katz, Abosch, Windesheim hires Downs as accountant

Katz, Abosch, Windesheim, Gershman & Freedman, Baltimore-based accountants and management consultants, announced that Jennifer L. Downs has joined the firm as an in-charge accountant. She is an accounting graduate of Towson State University and is assigned to the Towson office. Signet Bank named Leslie J. Meek a vice president in the international division and David B. Troy a money desk representative in the capital markets section. Ms. Meek has a B.A. from St. Lawrence University and a master's degree in international management from the American Graduate School of International Management. Mr. Troy has a B.A. from Loyola College of Baltimore.

Siegmann, Sawtelle promoted at Mercantile

Mercantile-Safe Deposit & Trust Co. appointed Charles E. Siegmann senior vice president and chief technology officer, and David R. Sawtelle as vice president, institutional services.
