"Kindred Spirits" is an exhibit of works by two painters who create separate works that have much in common. Josh Dorman and Mary Flinn are from the Baltimore area but did not meet until four years ago when they were in a graduate painting program at Queens College in New York. Today both live in Brooklyn, not far from one another, and both create paintings they describe in their joint artists' statement as "in connection to our dreams and with the hope that there will be a magic in the paintings which invites the viewer inside them." You can decide if they succeed by visiting their show at City Hall Courtyard Galleries.
City Hall Courtyard Galleries, 100 North Holliday St., through Nov. 17. 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. For information call (410) 396-4721.
