Worker hurt in fall from scaffolding

THE BALTIMORE SUN

A Glen Burnie man was in serious but stable condition yesterday at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore after falling about 30 feet from a scaffold as he was putting siding on new townhouses on Windy Ridge Court in Pasadena, police said yesterday.

Young Moo Lee, 53, of the 400 block of E. Pamela Road was working near the roof of a house when he fell shortly before noon Monday.

A county housing inspector told police that the scaffolding did not meet safety standards, authorities said.

Gunman breaks into home, robs elderly woman

A gunman forced his way into an 82-year-old Pasadena woman's home Monday and robbed her of an undisclosed amount of money, county police said.

The man knocked on the woman's door in the 8200 block of Railroad Ave. shortly after 10:30 a.m., police said. When the woman saw the man's handgun, she slammed the door and called police. The robber kicked in a window air conditioner and climbed through the window, police said.

Once inside, he pointed a black automatic handgun at the woman, demanded money, took the woman's wallet and ran toward Route 100, police reported.
