Adams one of eight to enter Virginia Hall

Retired Virginia coach Jim "Ace" Adams, a former Johns Hopkins All-American, is one of eight inductees with a Baltimore connection who will enter the Virginia Lacrosse Hall of Fame during a ceremony Saturday in Charlottesville, Va.

The other seven in the Hall's inaugural class of 10 are Jay Connor, who played for Towson High and Virginia and coached at Loyola College; Tom Duquette, who played for Gilman and Virginia; Pete Eldredge, who played for Severn and Virginia; Bill Hooper, who played for St. Paul's, Virginia and Mount Washington; Bob Sandell, who played for St. Paul's and Johns Hopkins; Doyle Smith, a Hopkins grad who is the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's information director; and Doug Tarring, who played for St. Paul's and Virginia.
