Wine, Weber's and Thom

French food and wine will be the fare as Weber's on Boston celebrates "Passions: The Wines and Travel of Thomas Jefferson," with author Jim Gabler tomorrow night. Price for the six-course dinner is $65 a person, and includes an autographed copy of the book. There will also be a silent auction of wines, with proceeds going to the Johns Hopkins Children's Center. The restaurant is at 2400 Boston St. For reservations, call (410) 276-0800.

McCartney's menu

She's a photographer, singer, author, entrepreneur, wife and mother -- and maybe one of the world's best-known vegetarians. She's Linda McCartney, wife of ex-Beatle Paul McCartney, who's just published a new cookbook. The decidedly upscale book, "Linda's Kitchen" (Bulfinch Press/Little, Brown, $25.95) features recipes for such dishes as mushroom risotto, vegetable paella and curried chickpeas with onions.

Donna's, the popular string of restaurants and coffee bars, is now on-line. The site, on the World Wide Web, offers menus, events, a map of locations and a feedback form at http://www.charm.

What a ham!

Forty calories per serving and no fat -- must be one of those boring, good-for-you products, right? Well, no, it's the new Oscar Meyer Free fat-free deli-style ham. Made from the leanest cuts of ham, carefully trimmed, it comes in three flavors: honey-baked, baked, and smoked. A 5-ounce package costs about $2.
