Claus von Bulow, John Wayne Bobbitt, O. J. Simpson?
Mr. Simpson might object to the comparison. But lawyer Sharon L. Cole believes there's common ground among the three
There's greed, obsession and control. There's Alan Dershowitz, poised to argue the appeal. There's always the "Larry King Show."
Tomorrow evening, Ms. Cole, an assistant public defender in Baltimore, looks at these and other links in a lecture, 'Husbands on Trial." It's part of a 12-week series of talks on legal subjects offered by Towson State's School of Graduate and Continuing Studies.
Ms. Cole said the timing for the talk is right.
"We've had a week to take a deep breath and reflect upon [the Simpson verdict], to get past our visceral reaction," she said. "Now, we can sit down and talk rationally about what happened and why."
The two-hour lecture begins at 7 p.m. in the multipurpose room, Towson Run Apartments at Towson State. The fee is $7.
