Pasadena man, 65, injured while escaping carjacker

A 65-year-old Pasadena man was slightly injured in a carjacking Friday when a man jumped into his pickup truck and tried to hold him in the truck before driving off, county police said yesterday.

Clarence Henry Leisner Jr. had fueled his 1986 GMC truck shortly before 6 p.m. Friday at a Mountain Road station and was about to drive off when a man jumped into the passenger side of the truck, police said.

The man tried to prevent Mr. Leisner from leaving the truck by holding his right arm, but Mr. Leisner broke free and was slightly injured when he fell from the truck, police said.
