Jeremy Scott Desor

Jeremy, a senior, has a grade point average of 3.89 in mostly honors or gifted and talented classes. In his junior year, he finished with a 4.0 GPA and was named to the National Honor Society. As a sophomore and junior he was inducted into the Spanish National Honor Society.
He scored more than 100 points on the American High School Math Exam and then qualified to take the American Invitational High School Math Exam. Students are selected by their teachers to take the exam, then must qualify on their own to advance to the second exam.
Jeremy scored 800 in math and 620 in verbal on his SAT. As of his junior year, Jeremy is ninth out of 320 students in his class.
Jeremy has been a varsity football starter for four years. The 6-foot, 2-inch 195-pound linebacker was selected to the 1994 second team All County Football Team in his junior year. He was Most Valuable Player his junior year, as well as captain of the team last year and this year.
Jeremy holds the record for most tackles in a career and most unassisted tackles in a season (1994).
He also has played lacrosse for four years, three years as a starter. Jeremy was selected to the 1994-95 Howard County All Academic Lacrosse Team and selected to the second team 1995 All County Lacrosse Team.
He also was elected to the Senior Board this year. The board organizes homecoming activities, the recent crab feast and other school functions. He helped with the school's canned food drive last year.
Plans: Jeremy has settled on Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and hopes to play lacrosse there. He is interested in law and math, but has not chosen a major.
His comments: To balance sports and academics, Jeremy said, he has found it useful to follow a diligent routine. "Even in middle school, I was doing the same things," said Jeremy.
