No. 15 Atholton (3-1) at No. 7 Oakland Mills (2-2)

Time: 2 p.m.

Outlook: The Scorpions haven't shown the type of dominant play that made them county champs last season. They'll have to play better to win this week. Oakland Mills edged Centennial, 15-7, last week. RB Quan Davis rushed 16 times for 98 yards. The Scorpions defense twice stopped Centennial from inside the Oakland Mills' 10-yard line. Antiwan Jones (12 catches, 269 yards) is still the favorite target of QB Irving Conwell. The Raiders looked impressive during a 41-15 victory over previously unbeaten Howard. Five Atholton players scored touchdowns. Atholton's well-balanced attack is averaging 33 points and has made just two turnovers. Last season the Scorpions defeated the Raiders, 28-0.

No. 13 Hammond (4-0) at Mount Hebron (2-2)

Time: 2 p.m.

Outlook: The Bears looked like the strongest team in the league during a 44-13 victory over Glenelg last week, while the Vikings fell to Wilde Lake, 36-12. Hammond is averaging 34.7 points per game. Mount Hebron gave up 85 points in the last two games. Hammond has many potent offensive weapons from All-America Tim Spruill to RB Josh Zillmer to FB Ron Gamble (four touchdowns last week) and WR Mike Bright. Mount Hebron's Scott Kelly rushed eight times for 69 yards and Mike McCarthy scored both touchdowns against Wilde Lake. Hammond won last season, 19-0. Outlook: Wildecats QB Jeff Johnson was 11-for-11 for 270 yards and Dain Lewis rushed 19 times for 109 yards in a 36-12 win over Mount Hebron last week. Those two have been Wilde Lake's main offensive weapons. Glenelg will continue to look to sophomore QB Beau Pich, who completed 9 of 23 passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns in a 44-13 loss to Hammond. Wilde Lake defeated Glenelg, 34-12, last season.
