Columbus Chase 10K is Sunday


The 14th annual Columbus Chase 10K will be at 8 a.m. Sunday at Howard Community College.

The race will be conducted by the Howard County Striders. Proceeds will benefit the HCC Educational Foundation. Prizes will be awarded to the top five male and female finishers. All participants will receive a Columbia Chase shirt.

A free One-Mile Fun Run, sponsored by Feet First, is scheduled for those who want to participate but not run the entire course.

Entertainment and refreshments will be featured.

The registration fee is $15 in advance and $20 on race day.

Registration forms are available at Princeton Sports and Travel, 10730 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia; Feet First, Wilde Lake Village Center, Columbia; and HCC's Physical Education Center.

Wilde Lake: 10500 block of Twin Rivers Road: Burglars entered a home through an unlocked bedroom window, ransacked bedrooms, took a tote bag and used it to carry off a television, videocassette recorder, radio, camcorder and remote control device Monday, police said.
