Washington man killed in crash on General's Highway

A Washington, D.C., man was killed Saturday when the car he was driving hit a telephone pole and a concrete wall near the intersection of General's Highway and Veteran's Highway, county police said yesterday.

Police said Troy Donahue Tennyson, 33, of the 3100 block of Pennsylvania Ave., was driving north on Generals Highway approaching Veterans Highway just after 12:45 a.m. when his car struck the curb on the right side of the road, bounced sideways over another curb, slammed into a telephone pole, spun around and crashed into a concrete wall.

The 1987 Cadillac slid across a parking lot, where it came to rest.

Mr. Tennyson was taken by ambulance to North Arundel Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2 a.m.
