A Columbia male was pushed to the ground and dragged down a hill during an armed robbery in front of the Talbott Springs Neighborhood Center in east Columbia Sunday, Howard County police said.
The victim was not seriously injured, police said. Officials were not available to say whether the victim was a child or an adult.
According to police, the victim was walking in the 9600 block of Basket Ring Road in Columbia's Oakland Mills village when two male suspects confronted him.
One of the robbers put his arm over the victim's eyes, pushed him to the ground, told him he had a knife and demanded his money, police said.
Both robbers then grabbed the victim and dragged him down a hill onto the center's parking lot, where he was told to stay while they ran away, police said.
One of the robbers was described as a 5-foot-7-inch black male, weighing about 150 pounds, with a medium build, wearing a black hat, a blue jacket, long pants and a gray scarf covering his face below the eyes.
The other man was described as a 150-pound black male 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing a white T-shirt and dark, baggy clothing, police said.
