Man charged in kidnapping, sexual assault

A 35-year-old Odenton man was charged with kidnapping and sexual assault after a woman was forced into a car in Baltimore, police said.

The woman was walking along Hanover Street in Baltimore at 4:29 a.m. when a man with a gun pulled up next to her and forced her into his car, police said. The man drove to Anne Arundel County, sexually assaulted the woman and later stopped on Oakton Road near Route 175.

After demanding and receiving $150, the man started choking the woman, police said. She managed to fight him off, then ran to a nearby house. Police were called and the woman gave officers the license plate number of the car.

Henry Reginald Bellinger of the 1300 block Hallock Drive was arrested a short time later, police said. He also was charged with robbery and battery.
