Man charged in shooting, allegedly over money

A Glen Burnie man was charged with assault with intent to murder after he allegedly fired a shotgun at a man during an argument over money Saturday, police said.

At 2:30 p.m., Virgil Hall, 60, and Donald Lee Kess, 36, began arguing outside Mr. Kess' home in the 7600 block of Spencer Road in Glen Burnie, police said.

Mr. Kess owed Mr. Hall money, police said.

Police said Mr. Hall got a shotgun from his home and fired at Mr. Kess. Mr. Kess was hit in the face and neck with pellets but did not go to the hospital, police said.

Mr. Hall of the 7500 block of Howard Road was held at Northern District police station.
