Capt. P.H. Cooper, superintendent of the Naval Academy, reported that during the past year 26 cadets failed to pass their examinations and were permitted to resign. -- The Sun, Oct. 2, 1895.

Work is almost completed on the race track of the Annapolis Driving and Riding Association at Camp Parole. -- The Sun, Oct. 8, 1895.

The Naval Academy defeated the New Jersey Athletic Club in football by a score of 34-0. The visitors arrived in Annapolis over the Annapolis & Baltimore Short Line Railroad. -- The Sun, Oct. 12, 1895.
