Conspiracies all around us, and so, too, Colin Powell

A government conspiracy slowly unfolds on a new "X-Files," while a cable documentary looks back more than 35 years at the conspiracy confrontation between Bobby Kennedy and labor leader Jimmy Hoffa. Oh, and Colin Powell's back -- again -- on yet another interview show.

* "Family Matters" (8 p.m.-8:30 p.m., WMAR, Channel 2) -- The old I-see-you-in-the-shower ploy, subject of recent plots in both "Friends" and "Beverly Hills, 90210," gets another outing as Urkel (Jalell) inadvertently spies a bathing Laura (Kellie Shanygne Williams). ABC.

* "The X-Files" (9 p.m.-10 p.m., WBFF, Channel 45) -- Things turned even uglier in last week's season premiere, as Melissa Scully (Melinda McGraw) took a bullet meant for her sister (Gillian Anderson). Will she survive? And will Scully and Mulder (David Duchovny) get back together as a team? The third part of a trilogy of episodes addresses the questions -- and also produces a UFO. Fox.

* "The Germans: Portrait of a New Nation" (9 p.m.-10 p.m., MPT, Channels 22, 67) -- Five years after the wall separating East and West came down, how have Germany's citizens been affected by the reunification? An interview with Chancellor Helmut Kohl is included in this new documentary. PBS.

* "20/20" (10 p.m.-11 p.m., WMAR, Channel 2) -- Actor Christopher Reeve, who was paralyzed in a horse riding accident Memorial Day weekend, grants his first interview since to Barbara Walters. Mr. Reeve's wife, Dana Morosini, also participates in the session, which took place at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in New Jersey. ABC.

* "Talking With David Frost" (10 p.m.-11 p.m., MPT, Channels 22, 67) -- Still making the book tour rounds, in what many believe is a test of the presidential campaign winds, retired Gen. Colin Powell is the English interviewer's sole guest for the hour. PBS.

* "Bewitched" (9:30 p.m.-10 p.m., Nick At Nite) -- The sublimely witchy Agnes Moorehead makes her first appearance in tonight's scheduled episode of the 1964-1971 series, making Darrin (Dick York) assert his husbandly authority. Definitely a pre-feminist series!

* "Rivals!" (10 p.m.-11 p.m., The Discovery Channel) -- The 1957 investigation of organized crime's infiltration of the labor movement offered a personal confrontation between a young U.S. member of Congress, Bobby Kennedy, and Teamsters chief Jimmy Hoffa. The first episode of this new series re-visits the showdown.
