Businesswomen's group names Davenport 'Woman of the Year'


Agnes Davenport has been named "Woman of the Year" by the Glen Burnie chapter of the Business and Professional Women organization. Ms. Davenport and other nominees will be honored at a governor's reception in Annapolis Oct. 21.

Ms. Davenport is a charter member of the Glen Burnie chapter and helped found the local chapter in 1964. She served "with commitment and dedication to all working women throughout her life," according to the chapter.
