Two men robbed an Odenton gas station Tuesday of $260, county police said yesterday.
One man entered the convenience store of the Texaco station in the 2600 block of Annapolis Road about 9 a.m., walked to the soda case in the rear and returned to the counter with two sodas as the second man entered the store.
According to the police report, when the first man put the sodas on the counter, he pulled a black automatic handgun from the waistband of his trousers and told the clerk to open the register. When the clerk opened the drawer, the robber vaulted the counter and ordered the clerk to the floor. He emptied the cash register, put the gun to the clerk's head and asked where the rest of the money was, police said. The clerk told him about a second cash drawer, which the robber emptied. Both men then fled.
Police are looking for two black men, both with light complexions. The gunman was described as about 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing about 165 pounds, with a light beard and wearing a dark-colored, long-sleeved shirt, a dark baseball cap, green-and-brown camouflage pants and black combat boots. The second man was described as about 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, wearing a gray sweat shirt with the hood pulled up around his
face, dark trousers and work boots.
