Drug Raid: Police said they shut down a suspected Curtis Bay cocaine ring yesterday when they raided a bar and arrested the owner and an employee and seized 15 weapons and more than $10,000 in cash. Michael Chiles, 45, a Brooklyn resident and owner of Marty's Bar in the 4300 block of Curtis Ave., was charged with possession of cocaine. The employee, Robin Stanfield, 28, of Curtis Bay, was charged with drug distribution. Sgt. Roderick Pullen, of the headquarters-based drug enforcement section, said the investigation took one month and involved an undercover officer buying cocaine in the bar.
Robbery: Two women were in the 2700 block of Rosedale St. on Monday when they were robbed of their cash and jewelry, all valued at more than $200, by several youths, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
Burglary: A TV and VCR were stolen yesterday from the Wee Kare Day Care Center and Nursery in the 2600 block of Garrison Blvd.
Stolen Scooter: A red 1987 Honda scooter model 453 with tags 4830D7 was stolen yesterday in the 3600 block of Glengyle Ave.
Stolen Car: A 1992 Chrysler with New Jersey tags 3537ZRO was stolen yesterday in the 1000 block of Edmondson Ave.
Stolen Car: A 1994 Plymouth with tags XZX 800 was stolen Monday in the 1300 block of W. Mulberry St.
Stolen Car: A 1991 Infiniti with tags CHM 513 was stolen Monday in the 2100 block of Warwick Ave.
Student Cut/Arrests: Two female students of Northern High School in the 2200 block of Pinewood Road were arrested Monday and charged with cutting another female student with a razor-knife during an argument over a piece of clothing. The victim suffered lacerations under the left eye and was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital and released. Officer Shean Camper said the students were released into the custody of their parents.
Robbery: A man was walking in the 1500 block of Sheffield Road when another man armed with a knife robbed him of property valued at $21 Monday.
Robbery: A resident of Silver Maple Court in Cockeysville was in the 7100 block of Commercial Ave. yesterday when three men robbed him of more than $100.
Burglary/Robbery: Police were seeking a man who entered a home in the 2900 block of Sylvan Ave. and stole property valued at $600 after threatening an occupant Monday.
Robbery: A resident of Woodvale Road was walking in an alley near his home yesterday when he was struck by another man who robbed him of $70.
Robbery: A gunman robbed the Amoco station in the 2200 block of Eastern Blvd. yesterday of an undisclosed sum of money after threatening to kill the attendant.
Robbery: Police were seeking a gunman who robbed the Marlyn Pharmacy in the 100 block of Back River Neck Road of an undisclosed quantity of narcotics Monday.
Theft: A 40-foot 1994 Great Dane trailer with Illinois tags 227202ST and containing 1,600 cartons of paint worth $40,000 was stolen Monday from behind an industrial park in the 300 block of Clubhouse Road. The trailer is valued at $20,000.
Burglary: Someone entered a storage trailer at a construction site in the 10000 block of Hidden Moss Court by cutting a lock on the rear door between Friday and Monday and stole a ladder, four rolls of copper wire and five exhaust fans, all valued at about $1,000.
Robbery/Arrest:Robbery Suspect Charged: Police charged a 37-year-old Perry Hall man in the armed robbery Monday of the Salvo auto parts store in Hillendale Shopping Center at Loch Raven Boulevard and Taylor Avenue. Being held at the county Detention Center on $150,000 bond was Wilie Brand of the 8900 block of Morgan Road, who was arrested at home. Police recovered a BB pistol that may have been used in the robbery.
