Calvert Hall edges Dulaney


Bill Kauffman's touchdown run with eight minutes left lifted visiting Calvert Hall (1-0) past Dulaney (0-1), 22-16, yesterday in football action.

The Lions reached Calvert Hall's 4-yard line with under three minutes left, but couldn't score. Dulaney led 16-7 entering the final quarter.

* Atholton 35, Northeast 0: Jason Sandner ran for 101 yards and two touchdowns on just seven carries to lead host Atholton (1-0) over Northeast (0-1).

* Mount Hebron 54, Harford Tech 0: Mike Machiron had nine carries for 105 yards and scored four touchdowns to lead visiting Mount Hebron (1-0) over Harford Tech (0-1).

Chris Carlotta added 10 carries for 111 yards and two touchdowns for the Vikings. Mount Hebron rushed for 332 yards.
