James "Pigmeat" Jarrett, a singer, pianist and improvisational bluesman who billed himself as the nation's oldest working blues musician, died of cancer Tuesday in Cincinnati. He had observed what he said was his 95th birthday in December, but over the years had given various birth dates that would have made him anywhere from 85 to 98.

Bruce Sellner, 44, president of the family company that makes the Tilt-A-Whirl amusement ride, died Monday in Faribault, Minn., after battling a rare immune system disease -- sarcoidiosis. He became president of Sellner Manufacturing Co. in 1977. His grandfather, Herbert, made the prototype Tilt-A-Whirl for a White Bear Lake amusement park in 1926.
