Bank appoints regional vice president
Philip G. Wohlfort of Bel Air was appointed regional vice president of the First National Bank of Maryland's northeast region, which includes Harford and Cecil Counties and eastern Baltimore County.
As regional vice president, Mr. Wohlfort, who has more than 13 years' experience in the banking industry, will oversee commercial and retail banking for 17 First National branches.
Mr. Wohlfort earned a degree in business administration and economics from Towson State University.
Lyle E. Sheldon, president and chief executive of the Upper Chesapeake Health System, advanced to fellow status in the American College of Health Care Executives, an international professional society representing more than 30,000 health care executives. Fellow status is the highest level of professional achievement in the college.
He joins approximately 2,700 health care executives in the nation who have earned fellow status.
To obtain the status, members must demonstrate their education, experience and leadership in the health care field over a period of several years. They must also complete a significant project on a subject related to health care management.
Mr. Sheldon was named president and CEO of the Upper Chesapeake Health System in June. Upper Chesapeake operates Fallston General Hospital and Harford Memorial Hospital. Before that, he was senior vice president and chief operating officer at Fallston General Hospital.
A graduate of Rutgers College, Mr. Sheldon has a master's degree in health services administration from George Washington University.
