DRIVE-BY SHOOTING: Western District -- One man was shot in the head last night when occupants of two cars fired at one another in the 900 block of Ashburton St. He was listed in critical condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

SHOOTING: Western District -- A 27-year-old resident of the 900 block of N. Calhoun St. was in the 1300 block of W. Lanvale St. Thursday afternoon when he was shot in the right arm and neck by one of four men who accosted him. The victim was listed in stable condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 1700 block of N. Pulaski St. Wednesday and stole three handguns a gun case, a gun-cleaning kit and a set of head phones.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1986 Chevrolet van with tags 709227 was stolen Thursday from the 5100 block of St. Alban's Way.

SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- A 20-year-old resident of the 2800 block of Booth St. was in critical condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center after being shot three times in the head yesterday afternoon in the 4900 block of Frederick Ave. No arrest had been made.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Someone broke into a house in the 5600 block of Laurelton Ave. yesterday and stole a plastic jug containing $500 in coins.

PURSE SNATCH: Towson Precinct -- An 81-year-old Towson-area woman was walking from her car at the Towson Town Center in the 800 block of Dulaney Valley Road yesterday afternoon when a passenger reached out from a passing car and took her purse. The loss was valued at more than $300.

CHURCH BURGLARY: Garrison Precinct -- Computer and audio equipment, all valued at more than $3,000, were stolen yesterday from the Reisterstown Baptist Church in the first block of E. Chestnut Hill Road by someone who entered by removing a board covering a broken window.
