The Gambrills Odenton Recreation Council will hold registration for all fall sports from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the council park lower concession stand. This will be the last registration before football teams are formed.

Tomorrow night, the West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce, along with the Greater Crofton Chamber of Commerce and six other area business organizations, will sponsor the Batter Up Business Mixer.
The event starts at 4:30 p.m. with a picnic at Rip's Park Place off U.S. 301 in Bowie and continues with a visit to nearby Prince George's Stadium to see the Bowie Baysox play the Portland Sea Dogs at 7:05 p.m.
Tickets for chamber members and their guests are $15. Tickets for children ages 6 to 12 are $10, and children five years and under get in free.

The O'Malley Senior Center welcomes grandparents 50 and older who are responsible for raising their school-age grandchildren to a focus group meeting at 1:30 p.m., July 31 at the center.
Dr. Nancy M. Pinson-Millburn, a senior consultant at the Center of Human Services Development of the University of Maryland, will conduct a study session on the physical and emotional health needs of grandparent care givers and their grandchildren to develop health and social policy recommendations for new laws.
