A man robbed a Glen Burnie bank of an undisclosed amount of money Wednesday afternoon, county police said.
The man walked into the Arundel Federal Savings Bank in the 600 block of Crain Highway about 2:20 p.m., went to a writing station, scribbled a note and handed it to a teller, police said.
The teller gave the man money, which he stuffed in a black fanny pack he carried on his shoulder. The bandit then ran from the bank. He is described as black, 19 to 22, and 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 140 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt, tan shorts and a dark blue baseball cap.
Pizza deliveryman robbed by gunman
A gunman robbed a deliveryman for Papa John's Pizza Wednesday night of an undisclosed amount of cash, county police said.
Alfred Conrad Caldwell III, 34, had delivered a pizza in the 600 block of Binstead Road about 11:40 p.m. when a man pointed a silver-colored revolver at him as he returned to his car, police said.
The gunman ordered Mr. Caldwell to give him all his money. The victim complied, and the robber ran off toward Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevard, police said.
Man shoots at teen after robbing woman
A gunman robbed a Pasadena woman of her purse Wednesday night and fired a shot at a man who tried to stop him, county police said.
Denise Lane, 28, left the mall at Marley Station with a friend Sandra Yount about 9:20 p.m. Two men on bicycles rode up, and one pulled out a small chrome-plated handgun and demanded Ms. Lane's purse, police said.
Ms. Lane gave the man her purse containing personal papers and $30, police said. The gunman then rode in the direction of Ms. Yount, but when both women screamed, the men rode off, police said. The gunman fired at Shawn Potwin, 18, who heard the women screaming and chased the men, police said. Mr. Potwin was not hit, police said.
