PURSE SNATCH: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1600 block of Freedom Way was in the 4800 block of Erdman Ave. yesterday when a man stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $30.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A lawn mower and hedge trimmer, all valued at $165, were stolen yesterday from a garage in the 1500 block of Lochwood Road.

STOLEN CAR: Northeastern District -- A light blue 1987 Buick with tags CKK 349 was stolen yesterday from the 3700 block of Parkside Drive.

STOLEN CAR: Northeastern District -- Police were seeking a 1989 Honda Accord with tags CFD 949 that was stolen yesterday from the 1600 block of Waverly Way.

ASSAULT: Northwestern District -- A 35-year-old resident of the 3200 block of W. Belvedere Ave. was in the 5100 block of Park Heights Ave. yesterday when he was attacked by a man who struck him several times with a bottle. The victim was treated at Sinai Hospital.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- Someone entered a vehicle owned by United Cable TV while it was parked in the 3200 block of Ferndale Ave. yesterday and stole a TV and two power drills, all valued at more than $600.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Essex Precinct -- An 18-year-old resident of the 100 block of Judywood Lane was riding his moped along Sandalwood Road near South Marlyn Ave. over the weekend when several occupants of a Lincoln ordered him to stop. When one of the occupants brandished a handgun and ordered the victim to give up his moped, he complied. Police said the Lincoln sped off with the gunman following on the victim's moped.

ROBBERY: Essex Precinct -- A 36-year-old woman was walking near her home in the 1600 block of Doolittle Road in the Village of Tall Trees Saturday when a man placed an unknown object in her back and stole her purse containing cash and property valued together at more than $100.

THEFT: Parkville Precinct -- An employee of the Kmart at the North Plaza Mall in the 8900 block of Waltham Woods Road was arrested yesterday and charged with stealing more than $1,100 in money and food items from the store's cafeteria between June 1994 and March 1995. The incidents were reported to police yesterday.


THEFT: Fallston -- Someone entered a car parked in the 700 block of Sharp's Court over the weekend and stole a cellular phone and other property, all valued at $300.

BURGLARY: Joppa -- At least 42 temporary license tags were stolen over the weekend from Joppa RV Center in the 1000 block of Pulaski Highway by someone who entered the office.
