Oakland Mills man charged with robbery, assault

An Oakland Mills man was charged with robbery, breaking and entering and assault after his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend were held at gunpoint Sunday afternoon, Howard County police said.

Police said the man, 23, broke into the home of a Columbia man, 19, about 4 p.m. and stole a camera, wallet and money. The incident was related to an earlier dispute between the man and his former Greenbelt girlfriend, 19, over a cellular telephone, police said. Coleman J. Scott of the 9600 block of White Acre Road was arrested Sunday evening.
